Govt to Launch Plasma Therapy at Gandhi Hospital from Monday
Hyderabad, May 10 (Maxim News): The state government is planning to launch plasma therapy at Gandhi Hospital from Monday. A total of 15 COVID-19 survivors have come forward to donate their plasma for the treatment of those who are still suffering from the virus. Interestingly, all These 15 people are foreigners. It may be noted that around 200 other survivors have also come forward to donate their plasma for the good and noble cause.
The authorities of Gandhi Hospital will collect 400 ml blood from each of the 15 survivors on Monday. It will take two hours for the authorities to to separate plasma from the blood. According to ICMR guidelines, only five corona positive patients, who are eligible for the plasma therapy, are under going treatment at the hospital. The doctors have said that they would administer the plasma on the patients only after matching the blood group of the recepients. (Maxim News)
