Founded by Dr. Chinnababu Sunkavalli, the Foundation has grown into a global movement. It has worked toward education, early detection, timely treatment and rehabilitation for people in need. Dr. Chinnababu said the Foundation began with a mission to offer “Cure, Care & Compassion,” and that the effort later evolved into a wider health campaign. He said the team has now reached 1.4 crore people across 130 countries over 12 years. He added that the goal remains to promote freedom from cancer through community-driven healthcare.

Meanwhile, the Foundation said it will enter two Memoranda of Understanding with the Meghalaya and Tripura Governments during the anniversary event. It said the agreements will help plan cancer screening from February 2026. The team noted that early detection remains the strongest step to improve survival rates. It explained that the model uses accessible and technology-enabled care to help people reach screening services faster.

It said the target for 2025 is to reach one lakh people through free mobile screening for major non-communicable diseases such as cancer, diabetes, hypertension and cardiovascular risk. It added that the team aims to use mobile units to reach more remote groups.

The anniversary will bring together senior officials and experts. Shri A. V. Ranganath, IPS, Commissioner of HYDRA, Government of Telangana, will attend as the Chief Guest. The Guests of Honour will be Dr. Shailendra Kumar Joshi, IAS (Retd.) and Shri Gareth Wynn Owen, British Deputy High Commissioner. Their presence signals wider recognition of the Foundation’s work at a time when India faces rising cancer cases. The Foundation said it will use the event to highlight new research links and community programmes that support early detection and treatment.
