Grand Christmas Celebration At LB Stadium On Dec 20: Azharuddin
Hyderabad, Dec 18 (Maxim News): : The Telangana Government will host a grand Christmas Dinner at LB Stadium on December 20, as part of the Holy Christmas celebrations, with Chief Minister Revanth Reddy set to grace the occasion and extend festive greetings to the Christian community.
The programme is being organised by the State Government and is expected to witness participation from around 10,000 members of the Christian community.
Minister for Minority Welfare, Mohammed Azharuddin, on Thursday chaired a comprehensive review meeting with senior officials and heads of various departments to assess preparedness and ensure flawless arrangements for the event.
During the meeting, the Minister stated that the Chief Minister has personally directed officials to make complete, professional, and people-friendly arrangements, underlining the importance the government attaches to the celebrations.
Mohammed Azharuddin said officials would conduct a ground-level inspection of LB Stadium on December 18 to review preparedness and ensure the timely completion of all arrangements.
Stressing the inclusive and secular vision of the State Government, the Minister said the Chief Minister accords equal respect to all religions, and the Christmas Dinner should reflect this spirit through dignified and well-coordinated celebrations.
“This is a very important and joyous occasion for the Christian community. There should be no inconvenience whatsoever to the public—not even the slightest. All arrangements must be executed in a fully professional manner,” the Minister said.
The Minister informed that the preparedness of all concerned departments had been reviewed in detail.
Clear instructions were issued to ensure adequate arrangements for drinking water, uninterrupted power supply, sanitation and toilet facilities, lighting and decoration, seating, traffic and crowd management, security, fire safety, food quality, and emergency medical services well in advance of the event.
Senior officials and representatives present at the review meeting included Chairman, Telangana Christian Minorities Corporation, Deepak John; Secretary to Government and Commissioner, Minority Welfare Department, B. Shafiullah; Vice Chairman and Managing Director, Telangana State Minorities Finance Corporation, Kanti Wesley; Managing Director, Telangana Christian Minorities Corporation, Smt. Sabitha; Waqf Board CEO Mohd Asadullah and Director, Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board, Mayank Mittal.
Multiple departments, including Minority Welfare, Police (Law and Order and Intelligence), Traffic Police, Fire and Disaster Response Services, Health and Medical, GHMC, TSSPDCL, Transport Department/TSRTC, Revenue, Information and Public Relations, and Food Safety, are coordinating to ensure the smooth conduct of the programme.
Reiterating that the Telangana Government hosts the Christmas Dinner every year, the Minister said this year’s celebrations would be organised on a grand scale, reflecting the State’s commitment to communal harmony, inclusiveness, and public welfare.(Maxim News)
