Green India Challenge: Miss India Manasa plants sapling at Indira Park
Hyderabad: Femina Miss India World Manasa Varanasi planted a sapling at Indira Park as part of the Green India Challenge on Saturday. The beauty pageant winner shared that as children of the planet we all have a responsibility to protect and nourish it.
Speaking on the occasion, Manasa said, “I am very happy to participate in the Green India challenge. The event gave me an opportunity to fulfill my environmental responsibility.” She added that she will spread this message as much as possible.
After planting the sapling, Manasa challenged her friends Shilpa Reddy, Archana and Raj to take part in the challenge, which was launched by Rajya Sabha member Joginipally Santosh Kumar.
Manasa, who was crowned Femina Miss India in 2020, will represent India at the Miss World pageant, to be held in 2022 at Coliseo de Puerto Rico José Miguel Agrelot, San Juan, Puerto Rico.
