Green India Challenge: Rajiv Sharma Plants Three Saplings At HMR Bhavan
Hyderabad, Oct.29 (Maxim News): Dr Rajiv Sharma, Chief Advisor to Govt. today planted three saplings under Green India Challenge on the premises of Hyderabad Metro Rail Bhavan here.
As Assembly Speaker Pocharam Srinivas Reddy proposed his name, Dr Sharma accepted the proposal and planted three varieties of saplings at Metro Rail Bhavan. Green India Challenge is a good initiative patronized by J. Santhosh Kumar, MP. He said over three crore plants have been raised so far in different parts of the State. The Green India Challenge creates awareness on environment and helps raise a systematic plantation in the entire State, he added.
Under the program, Dr Rajiv Sharma proposed the names of three senior officers of Telangana government to take the challenge forward. Adhar Sinha, Special Chief Secretary, GAD; Arvind Kumar, Principal Secretary, MAUD department; Anil Kumar, Member-Secretary, Pollution Control Board. The three officers have accepted the challenge and soon they would take up the activity, he added.
