Gujarat Adulterated Ghee Under Vijaya Dairy Brand Name: Gutta Amit Reddy Makes Sensational Allegations
Hyderabad, Mar 9 (Maxim News): Telangana Dairy Development Corporation Chairman Gutta Amit Reddy has made sensational allegations that adulterated Gujarat ghee is being sold under the brand name Vijaya Dairy. He said that a company called Meghana Foods has been given the franchise of Vijaya Dairy. However, he said that the company procures ghee from Kanhan Dairy in Gujarat and sells it in Telangana. He said that the National Dairy Development Board (NDDB) has given a report that vegetable oil is mixed in this ghee.
Amit Reddy said that more than 100 tons of ghee are being sold in the Hyderabad market under the brand name Vijaya Dairy. He was angry that private unions from AP were selling low-quality milk here, taking advantage of the trust placed in Telangana Vijaya Dairy. In return, APDDCF gets only a small royalty, that is, Rs. 1 per liter of milk sold to the federation. He said that there is not much profit for farmers and cooperatives. He expressed his concern that due to this, the income of dairy farmers of Telangana and AP is being reduced.
He clarified that according to the Dairy Federation rules, private individuals are not allowed to use government brands. He expressed his impatience that despite many letters written to AP Dairy in this regard, there has been no response. (Maxim News)
