Hyderabad, June 29: Panic broke out at a pub in the Knowledge City area of Raidurgam after a late night dispute between two groups escalated, with one of the men allegedly displaying a firearm and threatening those present.
According to preliminary information, the incident took place on Sunday night when an argument over a minor issue turned tense inside the pub. As the confrontation intensified, one of the individuals allegedly pulled out a gun, causing customers to rush out of the premises.
Witnesses said fear spread quickly among visitors as people attempted to leave the venue for safety.
Raidurgam Police Investigate Gun Scare at Raidurgam Pub
Police said the suspect and another person allegedly created further disturbance inside the pub by damaging liquor bottles and overturning tables before leaving the spot.
After receiving information from the pub management, Raidurgam police reached the location, conducted an inspection and launched an investigation.
Officials are working to identify those involved and verify whether the firearm used in the incident was legally licensed.
Police have not announced any arrests so far and further investigation is underway.
