Guv Administers Polio Drops To Infants At Raj Bhavan, Program Evokes Huge Response

Hyderabad, Jan.19 (Maxim News): The State government today conducted Pulse Polio immunization program across the State. The program was meant for zero to five years age group children.

The officials concerned made all arrangements for the Pulse polio immunization program in 23,331 centers in all the districts. At the Raj Bhavan, Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan participated in the event and administered polio drops to a few children at her official residence to mark the occasion. She also exhorted people to ensure pulse polio drops to their children on time to prevent future problems.

Transport Minister Dr Puvvada Ajay Kumar administered polio drops to a few children in Khammam. The officials said there was huge public response for the program. Polio drops were administered to infants at all public places like bus stations, railway stations, parks, slums and weaker section areas. They also appealed to the people, who could not avail the facility to avail the same at their houses for two more days. (Maxim News)
