It’s not summertime, so anyone may have doubts about why they are setting up half-day schools.  There is a reason behind it.  The caste census will start in Telangana on the 6th of this month.  The government has deputed 36,558 secondary grade teachers and 3,414 primary school headmasters for the comprehensive census.  Also, 8 thousand other staff members are part of this process. With this, it was decided to run the primary schools together until the survey was completed.

Teachers should work in schools from 9 am to 1 pm.  After that, we have to go from house to house for the census. For every 150 houses, the government has appointed one monitoring officer along with caste census officers.
