Harichandan Exhorts People To Exercise Franchise

Vijayawada, Jan.25 (Maxim News): Andhra Pradesh Governor Biswabhushan Harichandan said vote was powerful weapon in hands of citizens of this country and exhorted voters to utilize their voting right without fail. He also urged all the eligible voters to register their names as voters and exercise franchise.

Addressing a gathering on the occasion of National Voters Day celebrations held at Tummala Kalakshetram in Vijayawada, the Governor distributed voter ID cards to the newly enrolled voters on the occasion. He also handed over awards to the government officials, who have performed well during the 2019 general elections held in the State.

Referring to Article 14, the Governor said it confers equal rights to all the citizens in the country and those who fail to utilize their votes would lose the opportunity to question the rulers. He also urged the voters to convince their friends to enroll their names as voters of the State. AP State Chief Electoral Officer Ramesh Kumar also spoke on the occasion and urged all the voters to utilize their voting rights.(Maxim News)
