Hyderabad, Dec.28 (Maxim News): Finance Minister Harish Rao today inaugurated two-day conference of Telangana Recognised School Managements Association (TRSMA) and Education fair. This was being held in conjunction with the ongoing Kids Fair 2019.
Addressing the gathering, Harish Rao said education has the power to transform the world. However, educational standards must be improved. More skills and value-based education is required, he said, adding that he schools should teach social responsibility along with education. “We need revolutionary reforms in our education system,” he added
Responding to TRSMA’s appeal to allow concessions in Municipal Tax and Electricity bills to private schools, Harish Rao said he would take up the matter with the Chief Minister. TRSMA appealed that private schools must be billed taxes as a service-oriented institution instead of the current practice of considering them as commercial entities. Like Government schools, even private schools are serving the society, TRSMA State president Yadagiri Shekar Rao told the minister.
Later, Harish Rao unveiled Directory brought out by TRSMA. Some 1,500 delegates from school managements across the State are expected to attend TRSMA Educational Expo and Conference till Sunday evening. TRSMA is a family of 10,000 schools, 35 lakh students and four lakh teaching and non-teaching staff.
The conference will discuss new education policy, new educational tools, the environment in schools, trends, technology in education, teacher training, methodologies and other things.

TRSMA has set up 30 stalls at the Kids Fair 2019 organised by Hitex at Hitex Exhibition Centre at Madhapur. The kids fair on Saturday attracted a lot of visitors. The stalls and kids play area was busy with visitors and activities. Kids Fair 2019 will conclude on Sunday evening . (Maxim News)
