Slamming the Congress government for hypocrisy, he challenged Revanth Reddy to cancel the State government’s agreements worth Rs. 12,400 crore signed with Adani if his stand against corruption was genuine.

The BRS MLAs took out an impromptu protest at the Assembly on Wednesday afternoon in a counter to the ‘Chalo Raj Bhavan‘ protest by the Congress including Revanth Reddy, Ministers, and other leaders.  They raised slogans of “Adani-Revanth Reddy Bhai Bhai” and held placards, before addressing the media at the Media Point.

Harish Rao said during a visit to Davos, the Chief Minister struck deals with Adani Green for Rs. 5,000 crore, apart from a Rs. 5,000 crore data center project, a Rs. 1,400 crore cement factory, and another Rs. 1,000 crore defense project.

“If your words are honest, cancel these agreements immediately,” he stated, adding that inaction would expose the Congress government’s double standards.

He ridiculed Revanth Reddy’s protests against Adani, calling them a political circus.  he said while Revanth Reddy spoke against Adani in public, his government facilitated agreements and approvals, including granting land for a cement factory in Ramannapet and conducting public hearings under heavy police watch

“Revanth Reddy accused Adani of bringing shame to the country but Revanth himself brought shame to Telangana and also Rahul Gandhi by signing agreements with Adani.  You are working as an agent for Adani while pretending to fight corruption, he charged.

Referring to Congress’s refusal to allow BRS MLAs to protest in the Assembly, the BRS legislator questioned the sincerity of Revanth Reddy’s fight against Adani, accusing him of using diversionary tactics to avoid scrutiny.  He also demanded that Hyderabad Police Commissioner CV Anand file cases against participants of a dharna at Raj Bhavan and disrupting traffic and causing inconvenience to the public, asserting that the law should be equal for all.
