Harish Rao Slams Restrictions on Osmania University, Condemns Illegal Arrest of Students
Hyderabad, Mar 17 (Maxim News): BRS MLA Harish Rao has strongly criticized the recent imposition of restrictions on Osmania University, which he described as the “cradle of struggles and the heart of the Telangana movement.” He stated that these restrictions are undemocratic and inhumane, as they strip away students’ fundamental right to protest. He further called this action a clear violation of the Constitution.
He tweeted: condemning the illegal arrests of students at the university, emphasizing that the Congress government seems to have forgotten that the right to protest is a fundamental right of every citizen. He urged that the oppression of students must stop, and their issues should be heard, with immediate solutions provided.
The BRS leader demanded the immediate lifting of the restrictive orders and the release of the arrested students. He also accused the authorities of attempting to crush the spirit of the Telangana movement once again.
Harish Rao concluded by stating that the BRS will never tolerate any harm to the dignity or self-respect of students and youth. (Maxim News)
