Harish’s Assurances to Anganwadi Staff

Hyderabad, Aug.29 (Maxim News): Assuring that the TRS Government will always stand by the Anganwadi staff, Finance Minister T Harish Rao said that they in turn should support the TRS and the Government.

Speaking at the thanks giving meeting organised by the TNGOs and Anganwadi staff here today, he said that during earlier Governments, staff salaries were not hiked even after struggles. The agitating Anganwadi staff were trampled upon with horses. The present TRS government has increased the Anganwadi salaries three times in seven years and the credit for it went to Chief Minister K CR.

Harish stated the TRS government has crested S history in the country by hiking salaries of contract and other staff along with regular employees. The BJP government in Gujarat is not paying at least half of the salary being paid in Telangana to their Anganwadi staff. He assured that he would see that the salaries are paid in the first week, that 450 Anganwadis gotvpromotion as supervisors, and eligible Anganwadi staff got double bed room houses and pensions. He appealed to the staff to support the government that works. He also said that KCR had sanctioned 4,000 double bed room houses to Huzurabad, but the MLA Etela Rajenderreddy failed to get even one house constructed. (Maxim News)
