Hyderabad, Feb.27 (Maxim News): Telangana High Court said State Board of Intermediate Education to submit report informing it about number of colleges to be closed for failure to fulfill the requirements for affiliation. The High Court also directed the BIE to inform it about the number of colleges inspected by the Fire Services Department and the condition of those colleges.
The High Court passed the order while dealing with a PIL filed against unauthorized Intermediate colleges being run by Sri Chaitanya and Narayana educational institutions. In its report, the Intermediate Board submitted to the HC that a total of 29,808 students were studying in the unauthorised Intermediate colleges and the students would suffer if the colleges were shut down as they would have exams from March 4. The matter was posted to April 7 for further hearing.(Maxim News)
