Hyderabad, Oct.29 (Maxim News): The High Court today censured the State Government and TSRTC management for not giving complete details of ED committee report, loans and others related to strike. The Court also reprimanded the TSRTC officials for “overacting” on submitting incomplete details and hiding facts pertaining to the strike which reached 25th day on Tuesday.
The Advocate General informed the court that the bifurcation of the united States’ RTC was yet to be completed by the Centre. Of Rs 1,099 crore, Telangana has to pay 42 percent and Andhra Pradesh the remaining 52 percent in this regard, he said. The AG informed the Court that the State government has so far given Rs 4,235 crore to the RTC and now was not a position to pay Rs 50 crore to meet four of 26 demands of the striking RTC employees. On this, the Court pulled up the officials for their over-action. If the government pays Rs 4,235 crore, does it not required to pay the arrears, the Court questioned.
The Court opined that the RTC officials were deliberately misguiding the Court on key issues, including Finance Secretary’s report, ED committee report, loans, arrears and others. Directing the government to clarify on the arrears, the Court expressed displeasure at the RTC management for offering bank guarantee to only Rs 850 crore and sought complete and correct details. The court also asked TSRTC in-charge MD Sunil Sharma and Finance Department officials to attend the Court with complete details and adjourned the case to Friday at 2.30 pm.
Earlier, Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao held a review meeting with Transport Minister Puvvada Ajay Kumar, RTC officials on the version to be presented in the Court. (Maxim News)
