Hyderabad, Jan.7 (Maxim News): In relief to State Election Commission, High Court dismissed Public Interest Litigation filed by TPCC president N. Uttam Kumar Reddy challenging the election notification issued by the SEC on December 23, 2019. The notification was issued for conduct of the elections to municipalities and municipal corporations in the State.
Dealing with another petition, the High Court issued notice to the State government and asked it to file a counter affidavit in four weeks. The petition was filed challenging the constitutional validity of Rule 16 of Telangana Municipalities Act, 2019 relating to reservations. (Maxim News)
