Hyderabad: Health Minister Eatala Rajender on Monday directed health officials to plan for recruitment of additional manpower at Gandhi Hospital. Inspecting the academic block where additional 200-beds for Covid-19 patients have been set-up, Rajender said that there is a possibility of positive cases to further increase and additional manpower will be needed to provide health care services for them.
In a review meeting with the hospital officials, Rajender said that Gandhi Hospital has become a speciality medical facility for critical Covid-19 patients in Telangana. There are 2,000 beds out of which 1,000 are ICU beds, which need constant monitoring. Rajender directed hospital officials to figure-out a way to provide regular health care updates of Covid-19 patients, who are admitted at Gandhi Hospital, to their relatives and attenders.
