Health Problems Surge In Hyderabad, Hospitals Get Full

Hyderabad, Sept 11 (Maxim News): Along with the weather conditions prevailing in the state for the past few days, due to heavy rains, the health problems of the people are increasing and the government hospitals are getting congested. Poisonous fevers, dengue, chikungunya, and malaria along with respiratory problems and diarrhea are worrying people.

Diarrhea Among Children Increased, Shortage of beds in Many Places

A large number of OPs are also registered in government hospitals in small towns. More people are coming to hospitals than usual. Medical sources predict that the number of cases is likely to increase in the coming days. It is said that the number of people coming with fever, cough, and cold symptoms has increased by 20 percent in the last four days. Doctors say that the cases of diarrhea among children are increasing. It is noteworthy that most of the cases are related to fever. In many places, there is a shortage of beds as well as doctors.

Osmania Hospital And Gandhi Hospital Jammed

In the state, fever hospitals like Osmania and Gandhi Hospital in Hyderabad are jammed with patients. On average 1500 to 1600 people come to OP every day in Osmania. This number has crossed 2000 in the last two days. The number of inpatients is increasing. Due to the shortage of beds, some patients are being treated on the floor. In Osmania, OP was 3700 on Monday and 2800 on Tuesday.

The influx of patients to the fever hospital is increasing. On Monday 906 people came to the OP. On Tuesday, the number was more than 750. Most of them are victims of viral fever. Recently 11 doctors were transferred from here and only one was appointed in their place.

An average of 1500 outpatients are treated in Adilabad RIMS per day. On Monday, 2,739 people came to OP at once, on Tuesday the number was 1692. About 1,111 people came for treatment at Karimnagar Government Hospital on Monday and 1,244 came on Tuesday.

In Warangal MGM, 2549 people came to OP on Monday and 3,187 on Tuesday. The beds in General Madison’s ward are full. Many of the patients coming for emergency treatment are given treatment on stretches as there are no beds available. Similar is the case in all other Government Hospitals in the state.  (Maxim News)
