Heavy Rain Across Telangana In A Few Hours

Hyderabad, Aug 10 (Maxim News): The Hyderabad Meteorological Department has informed that there is a possibility of heavy rain in many parts of Telangana state. In this context, the GHMC has said that there is a possibility of rain in many parts of Hyderabad in the near future.

It has said that heavy to very heavy rain is likely to occur in many parts of the city in the next 2 hours. It is expected that rain will occur in Qutubullapur, Kukatpally, Gajularamaram, Alwal, Jeedimetla and other areas of the city. The meteorological Department has warned that up to 20mm of rainfall is likely to be recorded in the GHMC area. People are advised to be alert. it has warned not to come out unless necessary.

I have been stated that there is a chance of heavy to very heavy rains in Sangareddy, Vikarabad, Rajanna Sircilla, Siddipet, Nagar Kurnool, Nirmal, Nizamabad, jagtial, kamareddy, medak, mulugu, Bhadradri Kothagudem and Khammam districts across Telangana within a few hours. The meteorological Department has also issued yellow warnings for the respective districts.

Meanwhile, Hyderabad city was completely soaked in heavy rains on Saturday night. The entire city was submerged in floodwaters. However, the malakpet bridge was flooded. The heavy rains caused six feet of water to accumulate in all areas. Vehicular traffic was stopped for more than two hours. Authorities diverted vehicles going to Dilsukhnagar, Santosh Nagar and other areas via Chanderghat and Malakpet. Also, an apartment cellar in Hyderguda was submerged in water. Authorities are working hard to remove water from the cellar. Many people in the apartment were rescued.

Meteorological department officials said that it will rain in the city this evening as well. They said that there is a possibility of strong gusty winds in several districts. Officials said that there is a chance of moderate to heavy rain in the evening in Telangana capital Hyderabad.

Meteorological department officials advised farmers, laborers who have gone for agricultural work, and cattle herders to be careful. In the wake of the chance of rain accompanied by thunder and lightning in the next few hours, the meteorological Department said that people should reach safe places and not come on the roads even if it is necessary.
