Hyderabad, Nov. 2: Sudden rainfall hit several parts of Hyderabad on Sunday evening, bringing brief relief from the dry weather.
The downpour was reported in Quthbullapur, Bahadurpally, Suraram, Shapur Nagar, Jeedimetla, Balanagar, Jagadgirigutta, Miyapur, Chandanagar, Lingampally, Gandimaisamma, Dundigal, and Suchitra areas.
Rain also lashed Kukatpally, Hydernagar, JNTU, Moosapet, Pragatinagar, Bachupally, KPHB Colony, Alwyn Colony, Secunderabad, Bowenpally, Tirumalagiri, and Bollaram.
Alwal, Patny, Paradise, Begumpet, Maredpally, Yousufguda, Venkatagiri, SR Nagar, Sanathnagar, Rahmathnagar, Ameerpet, Erragadda, Krishnanagar, Madhuranagar, Jubilee Hills, and Banjara Hills also witnessed rainfall accompanied by thunder and lightning.
The sudden showers caused traffic disruptions, forcing commuters to slow down due to slippery roads and waterlogging in low-lying areas.
Meteorological officials stated that the rain resulted from local convective activity. More isolated showers are likely in the coming days as temperatures fluctuate between 20°C and 30°C.
