Heavy Rains In Hyderabad Bring Relief From Summer Heat

Hyderabad: Providing a major reprieve from the hot summer conditions, rains lashed Hyderabad and suburbs for hours on Friday night.

Heavy in some parts and moderate in most other parts of the city, the rains brought down the day temperatures considerably and a pleasant weather conditions prevailed through the day on Saturday.

Starting around 10 pm, the intense thunderstorms accompanied by hail in bursts lashed the city and suburbs till the early hours. Apart from thunderstorms, reports have indicated that several parts of Banjara Hills, Miyapur, Tellapur, Gachibowli received hail storms along with heavy downpour.

The summer rains however ended up plunging some parts of the city into darkness with following disruptions in power supply. These power disruptions ended up giving anxious moments for the students preparing for the ongoing examinations.

The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD)-Hyderabad forecast for the city over the next two days looks at generally cloudy sky with light to moderate or thundershowers accompanied with gusty winds around evenings or nights. The temperatures are likely to be around 35 degree Celsius in the day and 19 degree Celsius in the night.
