Heavy Rains In Telangana For Two Days:  Yellow Alert For 12 Districts

Hyderabad, June 23 (Maxim News): The Meteorological Department has issued a two-day Heavy rains alert for Telangana. Temperatures in the state have also gone down. Temperatures were recorded below 39 degrees in all the districts.

According to the Meteorological Department, moderate to heavy rain will likely occur in the state for 2 days.  Yellow alerts have been issued for 12 districts on Sunday and Monday. Moderate to heavy rains will likely occur in Hyderabad for the next two days.

The Indian Meteorological Department has said that there will be heavy rains due to the influence of Lona in July.  Currently, El Nino conditions are gone in the Pacific.  Although the south-west monsoon is still active in the state, rains are falling only in a few places as their expansion has shown down in the country, it said, Monsoon, which has been stagnant for a week, is spreading rapidly again the weather conditions are favorable for it.  It said that with this, the IMD revealed that monsoons are spreading beyond Central India.

Moderate to heavy rains occurred in many districts of the state yesterday.  Except for Hyderabad, combined Mahbubnagar, and Mulugu, all other districts received moderate rains.  Adilabad district received moderate to heavy rain.  Heavy rain fell in Utnoor of Adilabad district. 13.1 cm of rainfall was recorded there, 4.8 in Nalgonda district, 4.5 in Kosgi in Narayanpet district, 4.3 in Kanigiri in Suryapet district, 3.3 in Mancherial district, 3.3 in Komaram Bheem Asifabad district, 3.3 in Prakash Nagar in Khammam district, 3.2 in Raichur district of Rangareddy in other districts received less than 3 cm of rain.  (Maxim News)
