A big weather alert has been issued for the people of the Telugu states as the Meteorological Department forecasts fresh rainfall starting November 17. Officials said another low-pressure area is forming in the Bay of Bengal and is likely to bring heavy rainfall over the next few days. Both Telangana and Andhra Pradesh are expected to experience rain for two to three days after the system develops. Authorities have urged citizens to stay alert and take necessary precautions during this time.

Meteorological Department officials stated that northern and central districts of Telangana, including Adilabad, Kamareddy, Warangal, Siddipet, Medak, Hyderabad, and Rangareddy, will witness heavy rainfall. In Andhra Pradesh, strong showers are forecast for Vizag, Alluri Seetharamaraju, Parvathipuram, Nandyal, Kurnool, and Anantapur districts. Officials also advised residents to be prepared for possible disruptions caused by rain and cold conditions.

Meanwhile, temperatures across both states have dropped sharply, with Adilabad recording the lowest readings in Telangana. The intensity of cold has been significantly rising, particularly during the night and early morning hours. This sudden change has caused discomfort to people, especially children and the elderly. Officials have recommended wearing gloves, sweaters, and warm clothing to protect against the chilly winds.

In Andhra Pradesh, cold conditions have become intense in regions such as Vanajangi, Araku Valley, Paderu, and Alluri Seetharamaraju. The combination of dipping temperatures and impending rainfall is expected to make weather conditions harsher in the coming days. The Meteorological Department continues to monitor the developing system closely to issue further warnings if needed. Residents have been advised to stay informed through official updates and avoid unnecessary travel during heavy downpour periods.
