Helmet Must For Pillion Rider in Hyderabad

As per new guidelines, the pillion rider of a motorcycle also must wear a helmet during the drive and police will cancel the licence of the bike rider for those who failed to follow the rule.

HYDERABAD: Here is an alert for Hyderabad citizens who are stepping out from their houses with vehicles. Hyderabad traffic police issued new traffic guidelines to prevent accidents and to decrease the death rates.

As per new guidelines, the pillion rider of a motorcycle also must wear a helmet during the drive and police will cancel the licence of the bike rider for those who failed to follow the rule.

Soon challans will be imposed by the traffic police on the pillion riders who don’t wear a helmet.

It is said that the licence will be cancelled for three months if the riders caught for the first time and planning to cancel the licence permanently if they caught for the second time.

Police said that they are imposing this rule to reduce the accident death rates.

However, a few of the motorists who did not wear a helmet while pillion riding has already been issued challans.

Some of them also took to the social media on the new rule that is yet to be announced.
