- Israeli Air Force targets Hezbollah’s Radwan Force in fresh strikes
- Defense Minister warns Beirut after deadly operation in Raman area
Israel’s campaign against Hezbollah escalated sharply as its military struck the group’s Radwan Force in the Raman area on Saturday night. The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) confirmed that four militants were killed in the attack, one of whom had been a key supplier of weapons and involved in rebuilding Hezbollah’s terror infrastructure.
The aerial operation, commanded by Israel’s Northern Command, marked another significant blow to the Lebanon-based militant group. The IDF said the precision strike targeted individuals directly linked to sustaining Hezbollah’s offensive capabilities. The assault formed part of Israel’s ongoing effort to dismantle the organization’s operational network following repeated cross-border rocket attacks.
Defense Minister Yoav Gallant reacted swiftly to the developments, issuing a pointed warning to Hezbollah and the Lebanese government. “Hezbollah is playing with fire. They are provoking us,” said Gallant. He stressed that a prior agreement required Hezbollah to cease hostilities and withdraw from southern Lebanon. “The Lebanese government ordered Hezbollah to surrender its weapons and withdraw from southern Lebanon. But the organization is not doing so. It is continuing to fire. In response, we will continue our attacks,” he added.
Cautioning that Israel’s security forces would not relent, Gallant made it clear that any aggression from Hezbollah would invite a more powerful military response. “We will respond more forcefully if necessary. Israel will continue its security measures at the highest level. We will not tolerate any attempts to threaten the residents of the north under any circumstances,” he said.
The latest strikes come amid heightened tensions along Israel’s northern border, with observers warning that further escalation could widen the ongoing conflict in the region. Israeli officials have reiterated that operations targeting militant leaders and infrastructure will continue until the cross-border threat is neutralized.
