High Court Adjourned Hearing On Petition Of KCR On Power Purchase And To Cancel Inquiry Commission To June 28
Hyderabad, June 27 (Maxim News): The hearing on the petition filed by BR’s leader and former Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao in the High Court to cancel the inquiry commission set up by the Telangana state government on power purchase has been adjourned to June 27 (Friday).

KCR’s lawyer, Aditya, spoke to the media after the hearing. “The Inquiry Commission acted against the rules, Justice Narasimha Reddy unilaterally held a press meeting and disclosed the details. This is against the judgments of the Supreme Court. Notices have been given to KCR to explain power purchase and construction of power plants. He asked for some time as he was campaigning for the Lok Sabha elections. Before answering the notices, Justice Narasimha Reddy disclosed the details in a press conference.
During the formation of Telangana state, there was severe shortage of electricity. Power purchases were made only after the decision of the Electricity Regulatory Commission, ERC is also a judiciary body. The commission says there are technical flaws in the construction of Bhadradri and Yadadri power plants. Many power plants in the country have been built according to this method. National Green Tribunal approval is also available for construction of power plants. the government released the G.O. even though it knew that the commission should not be made specifically on the decisions of the ERC.
