High Court Gives Nod to Conduct Group 1 Exams

Hyderabad, June 5 (Maxim News): The High Court of Telangana has given the green signal to conduct the Group-1 examination in Telangana.

The High Court has taken up the hearing on the petitions filed by some people saying that when the investigations on the TSPSC paper leakages are going, and the charges of leakages are against the TSPSC, how can the examination be conducted? However, the High Court has issued the orders that there was no objection to the conduct of the Group-1 examination. The High Court agreed with the government’s claim that the candidates are ready to write the exam. 1.20 lakh candidates have already downloaded the hall tickets.

The petitioners contended that Group-1 examinations should not be conducted under TSPSC. They asked that when the investigation of the paper leakage is on, in which the Commission has leaked the papers, the same commission, how can the Group-1 exam can be conducted without the investigation being completed.? The lawyers for the petitioners argued that the Group-1 examination is being held after 11 years. The lawyers on behalf of the petitioners brought to the attention of the court why Group-1 was conducted in a hurry without re-conducting the leaked papers. It was argued that the Group-1 examination should not be conducted until the investigation is completed.

This argument was not considered by the High Court. The High Court has addressed the petitioners saying that the accused have already been arrested and the courts will take a decision on the manner of investigation. (Maxim News)
