High Court Hearing On The Singareni Election Adjourned

Hyderabad, Dec 18 (Maxim news):  The High Court of Telangana has adjourned the hearing on Singareni elections to December 21.

A hearing on Singareni elections was held in the High Court today.  The Power Department has filed the petition to hold the elections in March next year instead of December 27.  The senior council on behalf of the union asked the court for time to conduct the election in view of the formation of the new  government.

The High Court recalled that it had previously said that the Singareni elections would be held regardless of the results of the Assembly elections.  However, as the union asked for time to conduct the Singareni elections, the High Court ordered to file a counter and postponed the further hearing to December 21.  (Maxim News)
