High Court Orders CS And DGP To Implement Cow Slaughter Prohibition Act
Hyderabad, June 28 (Maxim News): The High Court of Telangana has ordered to the Chief Secretary and the Director General of Police to take steps to take appropriate action to implement the Cow Slaughter Prohibition Act. The High Court further directed to the Chief Secretary to submit reports on August 2.
The High Court took up the hearing today, regarding animal slaughter during Bakrid. Yuga Tulsi Foundation founder Siva Kumar‘s letter accepted sumoto as a bench plea. The letter stated that cow slaughter is being done to hurt religious sentiments. However, the High Court said that it is not appropriate to write a letter just before Bakrid Day to take action against animal slaughter. the bench asked how if the High Court is dragged in at the last minute on sensitive issues.
Advocate General Prasad told the court that all measures have been taken to control cattle and illegal traffic. They are registering cases by putting check posts. The High Court has ordered to take steps to implement the Cow Slaughter Prohibition Act. (Maxim News)
