High Court Permitted TPCC To Protest At Dharna Chowk

Hyderabad: The High Court of Telangana has given permission to the Telangana Pradesh Congress Committee (TPCC) to conduct a protest meeting on the issue of taking away the Central funds of Rs. 35 thousand crores meant for the development of the Gram Panchayats at Dharna Chowk.

It may be recalled that the TPCC challenged the police action of not giving permission to hold a dharna at Dharna Chowk on January 2 and the police arrested even the TPCC President Revanth Reddy also many Congress leaders were house arrested that Congress leaders stage dharnas and protests throughout the state and submitted the memorandum to the district collectorates alleging that the State government headed by the Chief Minister K.Chandrasekhar Rao has fraudulently stolen the money of Gram Panchayat meant for its development.

However, the High Court has directed us to apply with the new dates for agitations near Dharna Chowk. Also, the High Court has issued orders that not more than 300 people should participate in the dharna. (Maxim News)
