Highest Ever Single Day Spike: Telangana Records 7,432 Covid Cases

The number of active cases in Telangana has gone-up to 58,148 with 40,729 positive patients in home isolation or institutional Covid care centres

Hyderabad: Telangana reported 7,432 covid cases and 33 deaths until 8 pm on Friday taking the total number of cases to 3,87,106 and the death toll to 1,961. Meanwhile, the recovery cases went up to 3,26,997 with 2,157 cases recovering from the virus in a single day. At present, there are 58,148 active cases in the state.

The number of active cases in Telangana has gone-up to 58,148 with 40,729 positive patients in home isolation or institutional Covid care centres while 17,419 positive cases, as on Friday morning, are admitted to private and government hospitals.

Between Friday and Saturday, officials conducted 1,03,770 Covid tests out of which samples of another 5, 136 persons are awaited.

So far, a total of 1,23,84,797 Covid-19 tests have been conducted in the State out of which 3, 87,106 have tested positive and 3, 26, 997 persons have recovered.

The Covid-19 positive cases reported from the districts included 121 from Adilabad, 213 from Bhadradri Kothagudem, 1464 from areas under GHMC, 185 from Jagtiyal, 54 from Jangaon, 39 from Jayshankar Bhupalpally, 53 from Jogulamba Gadwal, 247 from Kamareddy, 215 from Karimnagar, 325 from Khammam, 85 from Komaram Bheem Asifabad, 280 from Mahabubnagar, 136 from Mahabubabad, 222 from Mancherial, 149 from Medak, 606 from Medchal-Malkajgiri, 58 from Mulugu, 103 from Nagarkurnool, 122 from Nalgonda, 41 from Narayanpet, 120 from Nirmal, 486 from Nizamabad, 100 from Peddapalli, 132 from Rajanna Siricilla, 504 from Rangareddy, 204 from Sangareddy, 192 from Siddipet, 67 from Suryapet, 168 from Vikarabad, 149 from Wanaparthy, 122 from Warangal Rural, 323 from Warangal Urban and 147 from Yadadri Bhongir.
