HIPLEX 2023 To Be Held in August
Hyderabad, July 03: HIPLEX, international Plastic Expo 2023, South and Central India’s biggest Expo will be held at Hitex for four days in August from 4th to 7th August 2023.
Spread over 20,000 sq. meters, 500 exhibitors from across the world will be showcasing their products. Speciality Chemicals and Master Batches. These exhibitors comprised Process Machinery, Printing & Packaging, Raw Materials, Moulds & Die, Post Processing Equipment, Quality Testing Equipment, Finished Products, and R&D.
It will have an exclusive pavilion for recycling and startups working in this space, informed Suresh Chandra Lahoti, Chairman and Advisory Committee of HIPLEX.
The Per Capita Consumption of plastics is still low at just 32 to 35 kgs when compared to the world average of 65 kgs and the US consumption of 75 kgs. This augurs good scope for growth, said Mr. Vimalesh Gupta, the President of TAAPMA
Plastics among other materials are the easiest to recycle compared to all other materials. India records the highest amount of plastics recycling. 70% of plants produced are recycled in India. Thanks to the good rag-pickers system in India a major component of plastic waste generated is recycled.
When asked about the plastics ban, Vimalesh said single-use plastics were banned a year ago. Despite the ban, we have grown tremendously. There is a problem with single-use plastics which is a very small part of plastics. There is no alternative to plastics. Can you imagine any other material such as blood sachets, or milk in glass bottles? The plastic industry continues to grow till such time there is a very good alternative, he said.
The show is supported by the Telangana government. The other supporting bodies include the Plastindia Foundation, the apex body of the major associations, organizations, and institutions connected with plastics, with common objectives to promote the development of the plastics industry; Indian Plastics Institution, a strong Professional Body of Industrialists, Plastic Technologists, Academicians, Economists, and Students; Indian Plastics Federation, the torch-bearer of plastics industry and trade and Plastic Manufacturers Associations of Tamil Nadu, Gujarat
Some of the exhibitors include Shubham Extrusion; Blend Colours, Vinayak Polymers, Shyam Arihant, Uflex, Ari Shyam Additives, Sudhakar Pipes and Fittings, The Shakti Plastic Industries, Blacksmith, Boorugu & Co., ColorPlas, Kalpvrux, Vanguard Chillers, and others.
The four-day show to be organized by Telangana And Andhra Plastics Manufacturers Association (TAPMA) is expected to the general business of INR 500 crore, disclosed Mr. Vimalesh Gupta, the President of TAAPMA addressing a press conference held in FTCCI in Red Hills in Hyderabad on Monday.
Hiplex-23 will showcase the latest technology and machinery used in the Manufacturing of Raw Materials and various products made of Plastics and Petrochemicals with Participation from all over the world, informed Mr Anil Reddy Vennam, Past President, and Spokesperson for the show.
There is no alternative to plastics. Even if there are some alternatives in terms of bio-plastics that will be very small. The Plastic industry will continue to grow despite alternatives to plastics, informed Anil Reddy.
Bioplastics, 3D printing, circular economy, smart plastics, and additive manufacturing are some of the most significant trends and opportunities in the industry, creating new opportunities for growth and innovation. The plastic industry continues to thrive despite all sorts of hardships, Mr. BL. Bhandari, Chairman of HIPLEX shared.
Nearly 50,000 footfalls are expected.
The organizer TAAPMA is a 54 years old trade body. It was founded in 1969.
It has 12500 members of which 10,000 are from Telangana and 2500 from Andhra Pradesh. It has just bagged FTCCI’s Excellence Award in recognition of its contribution to the growth of the trade and industry.
