Hyderabad, Sept. 10: HMDA will distribute 1.33 lakh free eco friendly Ganesh idols at 34 locations across Hyderabad.
The distribution will take place from September 9 to 13, according to an HMDA press release.
The initiative includes 80,000 eight inch idols and 53,000 one foot idols. The idols will be distributed to the public and NGOs.
HMDA Promotes Eco Friendly Ganesh Idols
The HMDA initiative aims to reduce the use of Plaster of Paris idols. It also seeks to raise awareness about plastic pollution and environmental protection.

Distribution will take place at several key locations. These include Aarogyasri, Silent Valley Hills and Jubilee Hills on September 10.
KBR Park Main Entrance and Kothwalguda Eco Park will distribute idols on September 10 and 11.
Peddamma Temple in Jubilee Hills will distribute idols on September 12 and 13.
HMDA office at Maitrivanam, Swarna Jayanthi Ameerpet and UIDAI Aadhaar centres will distribute idols on September 10 and 11.
Mind Space Junction in Madhapur will distribute idols on September 10.
