Hyderabad: The Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority (HMDA) is planning to introduce bungee trampoline and kids’ trampoline attractions at NTR Gardens and Lumbini Park as part of its efforts to enhance recreational facilities at two of Hyderabad’s most popular tourist destinations.
The proposed attractions at NTR Gardens will be installed near the main entrance, while those at Lumbini Park will be set up behind the Telangana Tourism Development Corporation (TGTDC) boating ticket counter.
Private Operators to Run Facilities
According to officials, the Buddha Purnima Project (BPP) under HMDA will appoint private operators to install, operate, and maintain the trampoline facilities for a period of three years.
The proposed user charges have been fixed at Rs 60 for a maximum of 20 bungee trampoline jumps and Rs 40 for up to 10 minutes on the kids’ trampoline.
Operators may offer lower rates if they choose. However, any annual tariff increase from the second year will be limited to 10 per cent and will require prior approval from the BPP/HMDA.
Boosting Tourism Around Hussainsagar
The initiative is part of HMDA’s broader plan to improve visitor amenities around the Hussainsagar tourism circuit.
Officials believe the new attractions will increase visitor footfall at both parks, which already offer landscaped gardens, children’s play areas, boating facilities, food courts, and other recreational amenities.
The addition of trampoline attractions is expected to make NTR Gardens and Lumbini Park more appealing to families and children visiting the city.
