Hyderabad, July 6 (Maxim News):  The High Court of Telangana has ordered the Central and State governments not to evacuate two thousand families living in Subhash Chandra Bose Nagar, Omkar Nagar, and Nandigadda Thandas in Serilingampalli Mandal of Ranga Reddy district.

Notices have been issued to the respondents, Central Home Department, CRPF DG, BC National Commission, Collector, Rajendranagar RDO, Serilingampally MRO, and GHMC commissioner.  the Court said that they have been living in those places for 40 years, have water and electricity connections, and have Aadhaar cards with the same address.

A division bench consisting of Chief Justice, Justice Ujjal Bhuyan, and Justice N.thukaranji heard the PIL filed by Dr. P.R Subhas Chandran against the authority’s efforts to vacate the premises. It directed the Central and state governments to file a counter-petition.  The hearing was adjourned to August 3.

the lawyer for the petitioner told the court that they have been living on a 25-acre land for 40 years, there is no adequate drainage facility and there are no toilets.  On behalf of the Centre, Deputy Solicitor General Gadi Praveen Kumar argued that the land belonging to the CRPF has been encroached and steps are being taken to remove the encroachments.  After the arguments, the High Court said that it is not appropriate to evict people who have been living there for 40 years and that they will investigate this PIL in depth.
