Huge Cash Of Rs. 6,53,35,400 Seized In Last 24 Hours: Ronald Rose 

Hyderabad, April 6 (Maxim News): District Election Officer, GHMC Commissioner Ronald Rose said that in the last 24 hours, a huge amount of Rs. 6,53,35,400 seized  80.65 liters of illegal liquor, besides, other items worth Rs. 65,390 were caught, and seized.

Rs. 1,77,300 were seized by various enforcement teams in the district through the flying squad, similarly, police authority seized Rs. 6,51,58,100 through the IT department, he said, and the Excise Department seized 80.65 liters of illegal liquor.  Besides, other items worth Rs. 65,390 were caught and seized.  

As part of the election code of conduct, 14 complaints were received regarding cash and other items and they were investigated and resolved at the field level.  The district election officer said that an FIR has been registered against seven people.  He stated that a prohibition case has been registered against three illegal liquor owners and one of them has been arrested.

Since the issue of election notification, till now Rs. 12,49,27,270 cash has been seized, and the other goods worth Rs. 1,73,26,343 and 19,358.43 liters of illegal liquor have been seized. 

He said that cases have been registered against 139 people and 134 people have been arrested.  269 complaints regarding cash and other items related to elections were received and resolved.  Ronald Rose said that an FIR has been registered against 181 people.  (Maxim News)
