Hyderabad: 150th Celebrations of Madrasa-I-Aliya

Madrasa-I-Aliya | Dec 14 (Maxim News): Madrasa-I-Aliya, one of the oldest school of Hyderabad, was established in the year 1872 and has completed 150 years.

On this occasion the Alumni is organizing a program on Sunday, Dec 18, 2022 at 10:00 AM in the premises of the Aliya Junior College, opposite Nizam College, Bashir Bagh, Hyderabad to celebrate this event.

The alumni is taking several constructive steps for the development of school as well schemes to encourage present and future students to mark this milestone.

With this intent it is proposed to present 150 Pure Silver Medals, which shall be awarded to meritorious students of Class X of school and Intermediate Final year students of Aliya Junior College for next 15 years at the rate of 10 medals per year.

These medals will be named after the noble teachers who are a part of Aliyan history and will be awarded to the meritorious students in a special ceremony every year.

On this occasion an Audio-Visual documentary – 150 Years of Madrasa I Aliya is being prepared. This documentary will be presented before the audience during the program. Hope this will keep refreshing our memories of this great institution.

The Alumni has taken steps to revive the Library of Aliya School, which was considered to be the best amongst schools of Hyderabad.

Alumni have fond memories and unique stories as a student in the school, which they would love to share with others.

Keeping this in mind, a special session, The Nostalgia, is being organized in this program in which each alumnus would get an opportunity to participate in the discussion and tell their interesting story.

Multiple parallel group sessions, depending upon your year of graduation, will be created to
facilitate this.

It is also proposed to honor Senior Aliyans who have witnessed 75 springs and are still carrying Aliyan spirit. Alumni specially are requested the seniors to join us and oblige.
