Hyderabad: Army Jawan commits Suicide
Hyderabad: A retired Army jawan allegedly committed suicide by shooting himself in his house at Kamatipura here today. He was depressed over the ill health of his wife and ended his life, police claimed.
The man, identified as B Venugopal, 55, who retired from the force about 15 years ago, was working at several places including as a security guard for a bank ATM.
According to the Kamatipura police, for the past one week, Venugopal was worried about his wife’s health. He also started consuming liquor.
On Thursday around 10 am, while other family members were in another room, Venugopal went into his room and shot himself with his licensed weapon from under his jaw.
“He sustained grievous injuries and died. His family members who heard the sound rushed to his room, and found him dead,” police said.
Police recovered a suicide note reading ‘Nobody is responsible for my death,’ from the spot. Police registered a case is being probed.
