Hyderabad: Black Day passes Peacefully
Hyderabad: The anniversary of the Babri Masjid demolition passed off peacefully with no untoward incident reported in the city. The police had made elaborate security arrangements in the sensitive areas to prevent any trouble.
Traders in some parts of the city observed a voluntary shut down and the effect of the voluntary closure was seen at Khilwat, Engine Bowli, Shahalibanda, Pathergatti, Hussainialam, Mallepally, Golconda and Moghalpura areas. Vehicles including the TSRTC buses plied as usual on the city roads ferrying passengers to their destinations.
The police on their part made elaborate security arrangements at Saidabad, Madannapet, Tappachabutra, Kulsumpura and Moghalpura. Police pickets were posted at all hyper sensitive and sensitive areas of the city and they were assisted by the armed policemen drawn from various units of Telangana police.
