Hyderabad Braces for Heavy Rainfall Over Next Two Days

Hyderabad, July 8: The Hyderabad Meteorological Department has issued a warning for heavy rainfall across the state of Telangana today and tomorrow, July 8th and 9th.

Districts most likely to experience heavy downpours include Khammam, Janagama, Suryapet, Sangareddy, Bhadradri Kothagudem, Manchiryala, and Asifabad. A yellow alert, urging caution, has been issued for the remaining districts in the state.

This weather event is attributed to a cyclonic circulation persisting over the west-central Bay of Bengal off the South Andhra Pradesh coast.

In the last 24 hours, the highest rainfall recorded within the state was 10 cm in Tansi Mandal, Adilabad district.

Residents are advised to exercise caution and avoid unnecessary travel during this time. If venturing outdoors is unavoidable, dressing appropriately for wet weather and being aware of potential flooding in low-lying areas is crucial.
