Hyderabad: Chief of Naval Staff Interacted With Serving & Veteran Naval Officers

Hyderabad | Secunderabad, March 25 (Maxim News): Admiral R Hari Kumar, PVSM, AVSM, VSM, ADC, Chief of the Naval Staff visited Hyderabad from 23rd & 24th March 2023.

During the visit, he interacted with Veteran Officers and Officers of the 17 Naval units located in the Twin cities. He apprised the officers about the transformational changes envisioned and priority focus areas in realising Combat-Ready, Credible, Cohesive, and Future-Proof Navy.

The admiral highlighted the need for grooming Agniveers for combat worthiness and gender neutrality considering that the Navy has pioneered induction of women in the officer cadre at NDA and Personnel Below Officer Rank category in all branches amongst the three services.

He lauded the concerted efforts of all Naval units in the station towards fast-tracking the “Atmanirbhar” mission of the GOI in respective domains.

He was accompanied by Mrs. Kala Harikumar, President of, the Navy Welfare and Wellness Association (NWWA) during the visit.

She interacted with the Veer Naris and dedicated a newly commissioned Community Centre for promoting wellness and welfare amongst the Naval families of the station. (Maxim News)
