Hyderabad City Police Annual Sports Competition Begins

Hyderabad, Jan 20 (Maxim News): The Hyderabad City Police Annual Competitions began on Monday morning. Famous badminton players Saina Nehwal and Kashyap participated as the chief guests of the program and inaugurated the competitions. The sports competitions began at the Shivakumar Lal Police Stadium in Goshamahal. The program is being presided over by Hyderabad Commissioner of Police CV Anand.

Speaking on the occasion, he said that 14 teams are participating in the 2025 Annual Sports and Games Meet and this is the first time that 14 teams from Hyderabad City Police are participating. He especially thanked Saina Nehwal and Kashyap for starting the program.

CP CV Anand said that Saina Nehwal came as the chief guest to the Traffic School Commanders program when he was in Traffic Additional, Saina is a Padma Bhushan recipient. Everyone should be inspired by her.  He said that sports and games meetings should be held every year as a rule and that there has not been a police sports meet or a police duty meet for ten years.

He said that sports meets will be useful in motivating and promoting their skills in them. He said that those who think that participating in sports is a waste of time should come out of that thinking.  He said that a sports meet is organized for three days every year, but this time due to the large number of teams, it is being held for four days. He said that he was also a sportsman once and that if he lost in games, he would not be able to sleep that night.  He said that we should have a competitive spirit and that this is the last sports meet at this sports ground, CP CV Anand said that Osmania Hospital is going to be built in this area.  (Maxim News)
