Hyderabad Court Acquits Jagga Reddy, Kusuma Kumar In Human Trafficking Case

Hyderabad, Mar 26 (Maxim News) : A Special Court for trial of MPs and MLAs has acquitted former MLA T. Jayaprakash Reddy alias Jaggareddy and Kusuma Kumar in a human trafficking related case. The court delivered the verdict on March 26, 2026.

The court stated that the prosecution failed to prove the charges against the accused. As a result, the judge declared A1 Jayaprakash Reddy and A3 Kusuma Kumar not guilty.

Court dismisses charges

The case included serious charges under IPC sections 419, 420, 467, 468, 471, 409 and 370. Authorities had also invoked Section 12 of the Indian Passport Act and Section 24 of the Immigration Act.

However, the court found insufficient evidence to establish the allegations. Therefore, it ordered acquittal of both accused.

Both A1 and A3 were present in court when the judgment was delivered through a special order.

Advocate G. Santosh Reddy represented the accused during the trial.

According to sources, the case was registered during the previous BRS government. The defence argued that the case was politically motivated.

After examining the evidence and arguments, the court acquitted both accused. (Maxim News)
