Hyderabad CP Vows Transparent Probe into Phone Tapping Allegations

Hyderabad, April 11 (Maxim News): Hyderabad’s Police Commissioner, Kothakota Srinivas, assured the public that an investigation into the alleged phone tapping is underway with complete transparency.

Speaking to reporters at the Eidgah in old city hyderabad, CP Srinivas emphasized that the investigation is progressing swiftly. He clarified that no notices had been issued to any political leaders concerning the case, he said that “at the right time will do it”.

While not revealing details, the Commissioner indicated that time will reveal the outcome of the investigation.

Officers linked to the state’s Special Intelligence Bureau (SIB) are under scanner after allegations emerged that they snooped on rivals and critics of the former Bharat Rashtra Samiti government when it was in power in Telangana.

The latest case has been filed against former DCP (Task Force, Hyderabad City) P Radhakishan Rao, who has already been arrested in connection with the alleged scooping case.
