Hyderabad drug racket busted in Mokila, Railway employee among accused
Hyderabad drug racket | Hyderabad, March 30: A major drug racket was busted in Mokila on the outskirts of Hyderabad under cyberabad police commissionerate.
Police caught a gang allegedly selling high-value cocaine. The accused include a Central government employee and a software engineer working for a leading tech company.
According to police, a Railway Department superintendent is the main accused. He allegedly sourced expensive cocaine from Bengaluru and Goa.
Then, he reportedly smuggled the drugs into Hyderabad. He used his personal car to transport the contraband to avoid suspicion.

Acting on specific information, Mokila police kept surveillance in the area. Subsequently, they caught the accused while they were allegedly selling the drugs. Those arrested include the railway official, the software engineer, and a businessman.
Police seized around 40 grams of cocaine from them. Officials said the seized drugs are worth several lakhs in the international market. In addition, police also seized two luxury cars used for transportation.
Police are now investigating the supply network. They are trying to find how the drugs moved from Bengaluru and Goa to Hyderabad. Moreover, they are also examining who else may be involved in the city.
Officials are reportedly collecting details of customers who purchased drugs from the accused. At the same time, they are checking possible links to a larger drug distribution network.
