Hyderabad: Ganesh Immersion Continue Across City

Hyderabad, Sept. 7: The immersion of Ganesha idols is continuing across Greater Hyderabad, with thousands of idols being taken for visarjan at various centers.

According to officials, a total of 2,61,333 idols have been immersed so far.

The zone-wise figures show 35,994 idols immersed in LB Nagar, 22,304 in Charminar, 63,019 in Khairatabad, 41,360 in Serilingampally, 62,405 in Kukatpally, and 36,251 in Secunderabad.

The process is expected to continue late into the night as devotees bring idols for immersion from different parts of the city.

Hyderabad: Metro Sees Heavy Rush

Meanwhile, metro stations, especially along the LB Nagar–Miyapur corridor, witnessed a heavy rush of passengers. With traffic restrictions in place across major routes due to the immersion, many commuters opted for metro services. The LB Nagar station, in particular, saw large crowds of passengers making their way into the city.

Officials have advised commuters to plan their travel in advance and use public transport to avoid inconvenience during the ongoing Ganesh immersion.
