Hyderabad, April 27 (Maxim News): Residents battling intense summer heat in the city received relief after Telangana Weatherman issued a fresh alert predicting moderate to heavy rain in several parts of Hyderabad within the next few hours.
The weather update said many localities may witness thunderstorms, lightning, and sharp showers soon. The forecast has raised hopes of relief for citizens facing rising temperatures over the past several days.
According to the latest report, western parts of Hyderabad may receive the strongest spell of rain. Areas likely to be affected include Serilingampally, Gachibowli, Miyapur, Madhapur, Kukatpally, Raidurgam, Kondapur, Hafeezpet, Tellapur, and Nanakramguda.
The weather system may intensify over the next hour. Rain bearing clouds are also expected to spread gradually across other parts of the city.
Officials and weather observers advised commuters to stay alert, especially during evening travel hours. Office goers heading home may face delays due to waterlogging, traffic congestion, and reduced visibility.
Motorists were urged to drive carefully during thunderstorms. Residents were also advised to avoid open areas during lightning activity.
The sudden weather shift comes after Hyderabad recorded high daytime temperatures in recent days. Many parts of the city experienced uncomfortable heat and humidity conditions.
Weather experts often note that pre monsoon activity during late April can trigger sudden thunderstorms across Telangana, especially during evening hours.
If the rain intensifies, temperatures may drop temporarily and provide short term relief from the heat.
Citizens are advised to follow official weather updates and local traffic alerts before stepping out. (Maxim News)
