Hyderabad: Jawaharlal Nehru Zoological Park To Open From Oct.6

Hyderabad: Nehru Zoological Park which remained closed since March 15 due to Covid-19 and subsequent lockdown will reopen for visitors from October 6.

Accordingly, the zoo has come up with measures to ensure the safety of visitors, zoo employees and the animals. It is mandatory for all visitors to wear face masks and undergo thermal screening and a visitor with high temperature will not be permitted to enter the zoo.

“Physical distance of 6 feet should be maintained and the ticket counters will be marked as per social distancing norms for maintaining queue,” officials said. Sanitisers will be kept ready at all places like ticket counter entrance, exits, toilets etc. for public usage.

Children below 10 years and adults above 65 years were requested to avoid visiting the zoo and visitors were requested to utilise online booking facility, the zoo said in a press release.
