About 150 people went on strike at various stations demanding a salary increase. They are alleging that for five years they have not received any increase in their salaries.
Only the employees working at the ticket counters are protesting. They allege that duties are not properly timed and no one cares if the reliever does not arrive on time. They complain that they don’t even get time to eat.
However, the metro services were not disrupted even though the employees protested at the ticket counters. The management started negotiations with them.
